Festivals in Portugal
Eat many Pastéis de Nata, get a souvenir that's made out of cork and visit one of the amazing festivals! The country has beautiful beaches and great weather in summer, so there are festivals that take place on one of the many beaches. Try and fit at least one in your itinerary, the Portuguese festival vibe is amazing.
Algés is only about 10 minutes by train from Santos station in downtown Lisbon. Take Linha de Cascais and get off at Algés, the festival is right in front of the station.
From Lisbon Sete Rios Station, Rede Expressos busses leave frequently to Zambujeira do Mar. The drive will take around 3,5 hours.
The town of Figueira da Foz is easily reachable by train from all over Portugal. From Lisbon it's a 4,5 hour journey, from Porto the ride will take 2,5 hours.
Matosinhos is a big neighborhood in Porto, reachable with the metro. Take the A-line in the direction of Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at Matosinhos Sul.
To get to Meco Beach, your best option is taking a car. You could also take a bus from Lisbon to Sesimbra, and from there catch the bus to Meco.
