Snap a photo with the Little Mermaid

You've seen a picture of this statue before, haven't you? Located in the harbour, Copenhagen's iconic Little Mermaid is one of the most photographed statues in the world. Inspired by the story by Hans Christian Andersen, this statue is tribute to one of the most magical fairytales of all time.

Dress up like a Viking, Roskilde

The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde is one of Denmark's best attractions. Here, learn about the Danes' fearsome ancestors through the five Viking vessels shown in the museum, before participating in a coin-minting or shield-painting workshop. If you're lucky, you can even sail onto Roskilde fjord in a traditional Viking boat - dressed in costume, of course!
