What is my country of residence?
Your country of residence is the country in which you have citizenship or are a legal resident. The country that you select as your country of residence will be mentioned on your Pass. A mobile Pass has this information on the back of your Pass (tap the “i” button when viewing your Pass) in ‘My Pass’.
On a Paper Pass it's printed in the top-right corner of the ticket. You will have to bring official proof that you are a citizen or resident of that country with you on your trip.
For Interrail Global Passes, travel within the country of residence that you select is limited to one outbound journey and one inbound journey that can occur any time during your travel days. When using an Interrail Global Pass to leave from or return to your country of residence, you must use your travel days. More information on travel in your country of residence.
Interrail One Country Passes can only be used for travel in the selected country, so it's not possible to travel from another country to the country the One Country Pass is valid for. Please note you cannot purchase a One Country Pass for your own country of residence.
